Southern Africa
The outlook for Mar-May 2007 southern Africa rainfall at four months lead show a strong tilt in the odds favoring below normal rainfall across most of Namibia, southern Angola, most of Zambia and Malawi, local areas in southwestern Tanzania and northern Mozambique, southern Mozambique, central South Africa, western Botswana, northern Zimbabwe, and most of central and southern Madagascar. There is a slight to moderate tilt in the odds favoring above normal rainfall in pockets over southern, central, and northern Namibia, central Angola, northern and southern Botswana, northern and central Mozambique, and southeastern Tanzania. Climatology is expected elsewhere.
